Junior Internship Position - Remote Work

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Technologist to join our technology team. This internship is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or students seeking hands-on experience in the tech industry. As a Junior Technologist, you will work closely with experienced developers and systems engineering professionals to support ongoing technology projects, troubleshoot issues, and learn new technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in Software Development: Support the development team with coding, testing, and debugging software applications under the guidance of senior developers.
• Technology Support: Help with troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and providing technical support to other departments and clients as needed.
• Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for software applications, processes, and systems.
• Learn and Implement New Technologies: Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new tools, software, and technologies.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members on technology-related projects and tasks.
• Research: Research and provide recommendations on best practices, technologies, and industry trends.

Qualifications

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma in Computer Studies, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills: Basic understanding of programming languages (Perl, Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.), databases (MariaDB), and software development processes.
• Technical Competency: Familiarity with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and/or software development frameworks. Machine Learning knowledge preferred.
• Problem-Solving: Strong logical, analytical and troubleshooting skills with a passion for technology.
• Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Other: A strong willingness to learn and develop your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to demonstrate proficient Linux skills (RHEL)
